Standard Business Sponsorship
Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) allows eligible Australian businesses to sponsor overseas citizens to work in highly skilled occupations. Once the SBS is approved it is valid for five years and allows the business to nominate overseas workers for a Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482) and the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional Provisional Visa (Subclass 494). If eligible your business can also obtain sponsorship accreditation.

What are the requirements for Standard Business Sponsorship?
To obtain SBS approval the business must:
- Be actively and lawfully operating (whether in or outside of Australia).
- If in Australia, have a commitment to employing local labour and engaging in non- discriminatory recruitment practices.
- Have no relevant adverse information against the business or it is reasonable to disregard this information.
- Agree to comply with sponsorship obligations throughout the sponsorship.
