About the 300 Visa
The Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300) is for individuals who are engaged and plan to marry their Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen partner. This visa allows you to stay in Australia for 9 to 15 months from the grant date. If you marry within this period and wish to stay in Australia permanently, you can then lodge a combined Partner Visa application (Subclass 820/801).
