About the 500 Visa
The Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows you to study full-time at recognized Australian institutions and requires enrolment in a CRICOS-registered course, a Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE), proof of genuine student intent, sufficient funds, English proficiency, health cover, and meeting health and character requirements.
What are the eligibility requirements for the 500 visa?
For Visa Applicants:
- You must be enrolled in a CRICOS registered course or in a primary or high school program.
- You need to be issued an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) certificate by the education provider.
- You must meet the Genuine Student Requirement. This would mean proving that you are a genuine student and your intended course is relevant to your background, you will comply with your visa conditions and return back home after your studies.
- You must show that you have sufficient funds for airfares, course fees and living costs.
- You will be able to meet the English language proficiency requirements.
- Meet health and character requirements.
- Have acceptable Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
